"Mustangs for a Day"

Tomorrow's Leaders visit SMU (April 3, 2009)

Southern Methodist University’s Athletic Department partnered with Two - Wins Foundation (ii-Wins.org) to host “Mustang for a Day,” an exclusive college tour experience for inner city youth in D/FW.

"“We are extremely dedicated to giving back to our community,” said Terrance Maiden, co-founder of ii-Wins.org. “This event is just one of many that we have created to inspire young men in our community to dream bigger.”   The “Mustang for a Day” event provides 50 to 60 inner city middle and high school students an exclusive tour of the SMU campus. This event includes tours of the lecture halls and dormitories, guest speakers and the opportunity to attend the SMU men’s basketball game versus Cal State Bakersfield.

“College is a wonderful and life-changing experience,” said Tim Maiden, co-founder of ii-Wins.org. “Our hope is that through this event and the sharing of our personal college experiences, the young men will realize that through perseverance and dedication they too can become college graduates.”  The Two-Wins Foundation is a non-profit organization providing a platform for the next generation of inner-city youth to mature into Tomorrow's Leaders through providing mentorship programs, leadership training and scholarships for higher education.
