Bobbie Maiden Scholarship Fund


We are saddened to share that Bobbie Maiden, mother of Two Wins Foundation co-founders, Tim and Terrance Maiden, passed away on August 31, 2008 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She lived her life with such a nurturing spirit that gave many a sense of security and a charismatic personality that impacted the lives of those she encountered. Bobbie had an impact on everyone she came in contact with, and had a great desire to encourage others along the way. 

Bobbie Maiden Scholarship Fund- To honor the life and the memory of Bobbie Sue Maiden,  Maiden Foundation has decided to establish a scholarship in her name. Bobbie passed away on August 31, 2008. She was a beautiful and spiritual person who took great pride in her family and her faith.  Of all her accomplishments in this life, her greatest was the legacy she left of her family including her four sons and eight grandchildren. 

 Bobbie Maiden Scholarship Fund is not intended merely to further the education of aspiring female students, but to recognize and assist those students who have the vision and values of and show abilities to maximize their potentials.

Candidates will not be selected on the basis of socio-economic background, however must graduate with a minimum 3.0 grade point average and actively involved in ministry at local church and participate in community service activities. In addition, the candidate must be eligible for and committed to entering college the immediate semester following the announcement of the winner(s). 

AMOUNT: Up to $2,500 per year or $1,750 per semester. 

FUNDS MAY BE USED FOR: Tuition, fees, and books. 

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Resident of the Dallas 

ELIGIBILITY: Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from a Dallas ISD high school or charter school within the Dallas ISD area. Applicants must make themselves available for personal interviews with the scholarship committee if requested, complete one (1) page essay, and provide three (3) Letter of Recommendations (family member, church, and school).

SELECTIONS: Recipients will be announced before May 15th of each year

RENEWALS: The scholarship will be reviewed annually and may be renewed for up to four years.
